NATIONAL EMERGING ART GLASS PRIZE 2016 WINNER

The National Emerging Art Glass Prize is a competition established to reward and promote innovation and excellence in contemporary glass within new and emerging glass artists. This exciting biennial competition is an initiative of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery. Melinda Willis is the winner of the 2016 National Emerging Art Glass Prize for her work titled ‘Resonance IV’ – an impressive 90-centimetre diameter wall-hung dome. Melinda was awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to attend master classes at North Lands Creative Glass in Scotland, one of the world’s most renowned centres for the practice and development of art glass.
